FREEDOM
OF
EXPRESSION PROJECT
ABOUT US
Launched in 2022, the Freedom of Expression (FOE) Project was founded by Jill Wells, an Iowa-based artist, advocate, and mentor, and Katie Flippen, a Midwest arts and accessibility leader. FOE champions the full participation of individuals of all abilities in all aspects of life through the arts. By providing an inclusive platform for creative expression, FOE amplifies the voices of artists of all abilities and plays a crucial role in fostering a deeper public understanding of accessibility, inclusion, and the fundamental right to freedom of expression in and through the arts. We aim to build a more equitable and inspired arts landscape through multidisciplinary collaborations and community engagement.
