2025 EXHIBITION

SEPTEMBER 16 | FOE OPENING AT CURATE

This traveling public exhibition, supported by The Greater Des Moines Public Art Foundation, is all about access—bringing the powerful work of 13 visionary Iowa-based artists to new spaces and broader communities. From painting and performance to sculpture, storytelling, and wearable art, these artists push boundaries and boldly imagine the future of creative freedom.

Opening night at Curate (September 16) will feature the inaugural FOE AF Fashion Runway Show, spotlighting adaptive, avant-garde, and ready-to-wear designs that celebrate inclusion, identity, and style without limits. Don’t miss this unforgettable night of art, fashion, and fearless expression.

After its debut at Curate, the exhibition travels to the Des Moines Art Center (opening September 22) and later to Mainframe Studios, amplifying its reach and impact with every stop.

In the lead-up to the show, follow along as the artists share exclusive sneak peeks through media features and on social media, giving you a first look at what’s to come.

Curate’s accessible, high-energy space is the perfect setting to launch this movement—where bold art, big ideas, and community collide.

This is more than an exhibition. It’s a cultural spark, a creative shift, and a call to expression.

Be there!
